Perfect location in the heart of Thamal, hidden away on a quiet street. The staff at Durbar Hotel & Residence were super friendly and helpful, especially the lovely receptionist. The super king size bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. The rooftop with its stunning plants added a quaint touch to the hotel. I was also impressed with the hotel's flexible payment policy, only charging us for the nights we stayed. I highly recommend this hotel for its prime location, comfortable accommodations, and excellent service.
There is no lift in the hotel, so it can be inconvenient for guests with young children or heavy luggage. Additionally, the food service can be slow and overpriced, and there were some instances of miscommunication and attempted overcharging during our stay.

Great location away from noisy streets, close to main city center. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, and lovely rooftop garden. Also, breakfast included was a plus! I appreciated the option to only pay for the nights I stayed - very accommodating!
Some clarity needed regarding breakfast options.

The hotel’s location was perfect, near the main city center, making it easy to explore the city. The breakfasts were quite filling and tasty. The staff was also friendly and helpful, always ensuring prompt room service.
The hotel had a lot of drawbacks. the rooms were tiny and barely had enough room to move around once the suitcases were kept on the floor.
